It never fails to happen. You agreed to accompany your girlfriend to the electronic store so she can pick up a new drawing tablet for her computer. Sounds simple right? Go there, pick up the stuff, have dinner and go back. Sounds extremely simple right? Wrong!

The above scenario is exactly what I experienced a couple of weeks ago. My girlfriend wanted to get a new tablet as her old one suddenly went haywire for no apparent reason. So one weekday I accompanied her to Fun** to pick one up. Man tablets aren’t exactly cheap. A small simple type (but long lasting as recommended by my friend) cost like $180+. Hopefully this one doesn’t freaking go bonkers after 6 months.

After getting her tablet, we decided to drop by Ga**Sco** for a quick look-around. Bad idea. The number of stuff and accessories there are too damn tempting. I almost wanted to get the Sony original PSP Slim Extended Battery (2200mAH). Unfortunately I would have to purchase an additional pouch as the extended battery is slightly bigger, thus it wouldn’t fit into my capdase casing. If you are thinking of getting it, no worries. The one from Sony includes the modified battery case. It makes your PSP feels slightly fatter, but considering the amount of extra time you gain, it’s well worth it.

In the end I came out from Ga**Sco** with a Star Ocean Second Evolution Accessories set, a Hori Play Stand DS and a Christmas edition Chocobo. The Hori Stand was a good buy cause it was an offer, but I’m having second thoughts about the Star Ocean set, due to the price. Nevertheless, the stuff that was bundled is pretty cool.

Star Ocean Hori Face Plate

This is the front face plate for the PSP. It is secured by fastening two screws into the holes at the side of USB port, acting as a ‘cover’ similar to the Capdase casing. I don’t see any reason to use it now. Probably will only use it when (or IF) Star Ocean English version is released. Kinda sad that the Second Evolution is already out in Japan, yet there’s still no news about First Evolution releasing outside Japan.

Star Ocean Earphone

Star Ocean UMD

Star Ocean Strap

Other stuff includes a set of earphones, two UMD casing and a strap. If you are wondering about the earphone sound quality, to honest it’s not too bad. It’s definitely better than those average ones but I will stick to my Sennheiser PX-100.

Sadly the Star Ocean Second Evolution Accessories set is currently out of stock on Play-Asia, but you might be interested in Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G set which includes a similar face plate, earphone piece, but this set comes with a pouch.

The Hori Play Stand for the DS is something which I should have gotten aeons ago. This awesome piece will help you hold down your DS at a certain angle (like 45 degrees) to make your life a hell lot easier when playing games like The World Ends With You, Professor Layton, Legend of Zelda, Cooking Mama or any games that requires heavy stylus usage.

Hori Play Stand DS

The best part is, you can even set your DS side ways for games like Ninja Gaiden, Brain-Age or Hotel Dusk. Unfortunately, I totally forgotten to take a picture with the DS at that angle.

Apparently the Hori Play Stand DS is also out of stock on Play-Asia (definitely a hot item). Another good alternative would be the Magnet Stand from Nintendo. Do check it out by clicking on the links.

The World Ends With You

The final two stuff would be The World Ends With You and something which I never thought I would buy … a virtually impossible to find hottest Nendoroid and the most famous of all Vocaloids, Hachune… I mean Hatsune Miku~. It comes with 3 switchable heads, extra hair & bend arm piece. If that’s not enough, it even comes with the famous leek and a hand to hold it. Just how freaking cool is that!

Hatsune Miku-chan

Right … If you have no idea what the heck am I talking about, just check out the two videos below.

You will not find Hatsune Miku (like I said, it’s nearly impossible now) but you can still check out a lot of other whacky stuff at J-List including manga, anime, figurines, food, chocolates, drinks, shirt, pens, misc items like scented candles, bath salts, clothes, sandals, book, study guides, household items. I forgot to mention condom, vibrator, sex doll, fake boobs, lingerie, ramen cup thats really a masturbation tool, magazine, porn, manga, porn dvd, porn, and sex toys. In fact they sell literally everything and anything, all from Japan. Heck you can even custom order things which are not listed but available in that country.

Interested yet? :D

Disclaimer
: I’m not trying to promote sex stuff here but just letting readers know that there ARE such things being sold at J-List, apart from the usual animes, mangas and figurines. You can however opt to go to the safe zone where all 18 and above items will be filtered out. But otherwise, it’s VERY NOT SAFE FOR WORK. Have fun shopping!

@Rev – no special reason. Let just say I’m too bored lol.

The battery pack is around $70 or was it $75, can’t really remember. PA ran out of stock for the Star Ocean and I’m not much of a fan of Monster Hunter. In fact I didn’t actually plan on getting the set. External influence heh …
