Love The Game Or Love The Console?

Looks like my Metal Gear Solid 4 review is gonna take a while. Still haven’t got that ‘click’ in my head to get down to finishing it.

I understand that there are times we get sadden or pissed off because a particular game isn’t going to be released on a particular console, like let say Gears of War which particularly wouldn’t see the light on a PS3 unless the sky falls down. Back when I heard that Ace Combat 6 will be releasing on the Xbox 360 with no news for the PS3, I was pretty stunned. Ace Combat games has always been on the Sony console from the very beginning and suddenly, it just vanished. Perhaps fans of Fatal Frame would probably share the same light as the 4th game is going to the Wii. Thankfully I own one, so it’s cool.

However I find it extremely hard to interpret a person who gets on the suicidal mode just because his or her favourite will be releasing together with another console, like this guy over here.

Right ….. so Final Fantasy XIII will be releasing on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Big deal. It’s still going to be on the PS3 so why the drama? I guess old school gamers should go boycott the hell out of SquareEnix for releasing Final Fantasy 7 on the Playstation instead of sticking with Nintendo.

In the end, it all comes down to this one simple question; Love the game or love the console?

I was damn happy when they announced that FFXIII will be on the 360 but the sad thing is if, and probably will be, the game uses the full storage system of the blu-ray disc, i guess everyone will expect a 6 disks release on 360′s DVD-DL disks lol..

But anyhow, i should be happy already since the game will be released on the 360 platform. I just can’t see why ps3 users rage about the game being released on 360.

As you said it, the game is also on ps3. People keep fragging me on youtube just for posting “Yay, ff13 on xbox lol” =/

PS: I don’t give a damn about another Final Fantasy game. Just give me an Einhander sequel, or an English-translated version of Front Mission 5!
