Me and Kuma went over to Marina Square last Saturday to checkout the action at EA Play 08, an event organized by Electronic Arts Inc. which lasted for two days. We arrived at the Central Atrium at about 1pm and by that time, quite a number of visitors are already flocking the area. Seeing that we haven’t had lunch yet, we went over to the nearby food court to grab a bite before taking out our cameras for some snapshots. Well I didn’t do much snapping actually. Kuma with his Fujifilm Finepix S6500fd did most of the job.

This event is divided into three sections; EA Gamezone, EA Champs and EA Screen.
EA Gamezone are the game booths section which allows visitors to try out some of EA’s games, including Army of Two, Burnout Paradise, Skate, Need for Speed Pro Street, and Fifa Street 3. Kinda disappointed that EA didn’t showcase any ‘yet to be released titles’ (other than Command & Conquer 3 Kane’s Wrath).

EA Champs would be the tournament section, where gamers from different countries come to compete in various games. At the time I was at the event, they were kicking off with Crysis tourney. Teams competing includes those from Japan, Korea, India, Australia and Singapore.
Due to time constraints, I didn’t manage to attend EA Screens where visitors can get to interact with game producers and the unveiling of Spore Creature Creator demo. Would be interesting to see that.
At each corner there are small booths selling games at discounted prices, gaming hardware, merchandises and weirdly, Sony PSP Slims. I purchased a custom mug that is printed with Kane’s Wrath picture but it wasn’t ready due to sudden power failure at the Atrium. Thankfully they offered to send the mug to my place. Hope to get it within this week.
I will leave the rest of the pictures do the talking [56k Warning]
