King of Fighters and Street Fighter aren’t the only ones going HD. BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger will be joining those two games side by side as part of 2D fighting. As you can guess from the screenshots below, BlazBlue is done by Arc System Works, the guys behind the Guilty Gear series. The fantastic artwork really puts a huge drool on my face. Apparently the game is already out in the arcades in Japan but will be hitting PS3 at the end of the year.

Yet another reason to get a PS3. I’m a sucker when it comes to 2D fighting games.
